Terms of Service

1. Agreement: These Terms govern your use of the Workpiece app and workpiece.app, provided by Lathe & Lumber Woodworks, LLC. By using Workpiece, you agree to these Terms. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard Apple EULA).

2. The app: Workpiece is a tool for documenting woodworking projects on your device. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Your content is yours: You keep all rights to the photos, recordings, notes, and other work you create in Workpiece. Because your content stays on your device, we neither claim nor receive any rights to it.

4. Acceptable use: Use Workpiece lawfully. Don't attempt to break it, reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows, or misuse it.

5. Purchases and subscriptions: Workpiece offers one optional paid plan, Full Shop, available as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription, sold and billed through Apple. New subscribers may receive a free introductory trial period; after the trial, the subscription renews at the price shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies. Prices and plan contents may change over time; changes never remove your access to work you've already made, and canceling never deletes your work- the free plan simply limits what you can create going forward.

6. Connected third-party services (Etsy, Squarespace, Shopify): Workpiece can connect to shop platforms to create draft listings at your direction. Your account on any connected platform, and everything that happens there: listings, sales, fees, payments, and policies, is between you and that platform and governed by its own terms. You're responsible for the accuracy and legality of listings you create. Workpiece creates drafts only and never publishes on your behalf. We may change or discontinue platform integrations if a platform's API or terms change. "Etsy" is a trademark of Etsy, Inc.; this application uses Etsy's API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy. "Squarespace" and "Shopify" are trademarks of their respective owners; Workpiece is not endorsed by or affiliated with them.

7. Your backups: Because your content lives on your device and not on our servers, you are responsible for keeping backups. Workpiece supports this: your data is included in your iPhone's backup, and you can export any build from the app to the Files app or iCloud Drive at any time, on any plan. We cannot recover data lost from your device.

8. Intellectual property: The Workpiece app, name, and "Paper & Walnut" design are owned by Lathe & Lumber Woodworks, LLC. These Terms don't grant you rights to our trademarks or design.

9. No warranty: Workpiece is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lathe & Lumber Woodworks, LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Workpiece, including outcomes of listings or sales on connected platforms.

11. Changes to these Terms: We may update these Terms; we'll post the new version here with a revised date.

12. Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
